The lockdown is over... for now. Let's hope it remains so, and I'll see many of you in the fall. I'll be appearing with my favorite iconoclast Lydia Lunch and others in LA July 29, and again on October 3rd in NYC's EV at Berlin. (The Berlin bill will also feature Luc Sante and Joseph Keckler.) The rest is a book tour for Why Labelle Matters and Peter and the Wolves with the brilliant Luc Sante and my Cleveland paisan, Mike DeCapite. Luc will be reading from his latest, Maybe the People Will Be the Times. Mike's newest, Jacket Weather, is a beautiful book about falling in love in NYC. Check back... I'll be posting links on how to purchase tickets, or will state if it's a free event.

I'm updating with current news as of July 4th, 2021. A memoir about my adventures with infamous Cleveland musician Peter Laughner, PETER AND THE WOLVES was released in late 2020, and WHY LABELLE MATTERS, about the Afrofuturist rockstar band of three (Patti Labelle, Nona Hendryx, and Sarah Dash) was released in March, 2021 by the University of Texas Press. I'm thrilled to see the two books in print and immensely grateful to both Smog Veil Press, UT Press, and the people who kicked in their talents to make both books possible and available. An Audible version of Labelle will appear before year's end. Thankful too for the praise from fantastic authors and teachers, all whom I admire greatly. Check out the blurbs on each book's dedicated page: Peter and Labelle. I have new songs and music happening as well, to be unveiled later this year. A Judee Sill cover song recorded with Ariel Westberg, "The Donor", produced by Nosiecastle III. And a new short film I wrote and directed, le cœur en cage. Finally got around to doing an edit during lockdown. Thanks to Ann-Marie Holman, Every Heart, Bryce Lansing and Natalie Hill for the collaboration. Stephane Elfassi held a book party for me at his fab record store, Paradise City, on June 27th, 2021 where I was interviewed by the lovely Rose Apodaca, and a grand time was had by friends, supporters, and family!
